1) May 08
I had a fun time playing with the colors in the new sassafrass lass line for my "May 08" layout. The paper is so colorful and fun, with a great retro feel. I "toned down" the brightness and the pattern with a solid black background, and used my accents to highlight the colors in the paper. The mushrooms from Unity's "Its the Little Things" kit were just perfect for the retro-ness of this paper. CTMH's "honey" ink was the perfect yellow...
2) Peace on Earth
I won a Christmas making memories card kit at a crop on saturday, with prescored cards with these cute scallop windows in the middle. But with the scallop, I found myself flummoxed with what to do with the background? So I embosssed it with the Growing in Unity kit and used the Trinity Trio single for the focal image. This was cool pearlized paint I bought at the stamp expo - its hard to see in the picture but has the prettiest sheen IRL.

Gorgeous photo! I love the dimension you added to the flower on the scrap page - I probably would have bent it by accident, and hoped it looked like I meant it! I also think it's cool how you were out of the box with the trees on the card. Most of the time, I think folks would cover the whole opening. Cool!!
