cardsketch #34

Phew. Trial really turns my life upside down. Sorry for the radio silence. We're 1/2 way through and I've come up for a little air...

Here is cardsketch #34 if you wish to play, LMCS34

here is my card, a get well card for a very special 11 year old battling hodgkins lymphoma... I am sending it with a few chemo caps/scarves I'm making ....

If you could share a prayer for her, her name is arielle.

Stamps: Everyday adorable, Unity Stamp Company

and here are the caps so far. i wanted to keep them flat-ish so if she needed to wear them while sleeping or something, they'd still be pretty comfortable.

fabric goodness

Taking a quick detour from my papercrafts to show you this beautiful stack of fabric that came in the mail yesterday. SIGH. It just makes me HAPPY looking at it. I need to make some pillows and after coveting the beauty of the textiles at antropologie's home section, I headed over to sew mama sew (my favorite online fabric place - all my favorite fabric designers and pattern makers). (How I love the jennifer paganelli .) Lucky for me, Joann's has its pillow forms on sale this week. Now, if I can only find some time to be able to cut and assemble...

DT Tuesday spotlight....

Its Tuesday June 9, and I'm Unity's DT spotlight for the day. Hello and welcome!
I am so grateful and honored to be a part of this team. Unity is such a dynamic company, and super fun to work for, and I am always excited to see what kits are coming down the pipeline.

I am in a great mood today - its my son's 9th birthday and is just a great day. We try and take the kids away for a birthday weekend every birthday, to celebrate them and how special they are. Its always a great time. (We just got back from a weekend trip). I pulled out a picture from one of last year's trips for this layout - using the Confession - I {luv} Unity kit - a super duper scrapbooking kit (I need to go back and circle the dates on the calendar stamp). I had a series of pictures for this, but decided to go with just the one best one - sometimes, it seems to tell the story better that way?

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you're having a great week!!

ephemera layouts

I was spring cleaning my craft room/office (which I share with my kids) and came across this cute sticker thing my parents must have taken with the kids at one point. I don't remember seeing this before - it looks like its probably at least 2 years old at this point? I wanted to get it onto a layout before it got misplaced again into a large pile of misc loose papers. Its one of my favorite things to do with ephemera. To fit the scale, this is 8x8 layout. My layouts are all stored in American Crafts D-Ring binders, and so, I have complete freedom to put whatever page protector size I want in there - I love the look the mixed sizes brings to the album.
