Unity Thursday 12-17-09

Yikes! Christmas crept up on me and tomorrow is last day of school and I'm frantically finishing up the gift card holders!!!

For this one, I used my Dec09 KOTM again, Delightful Moments.

And since I've got to make like ten million of them, this one uses the Bright and Merry Wishes
and Christmas Bough kits.

Enjoy the rest of your Thursday!!!

Tutorial - double embossing

This was a cool technique I learned from the stamp show that I just had to share.

First, pick out two embossing folders - one with a tight design, and one that has bolder lines.

[tighter lines]

[bolder lines]

take the tighter design template, and emboss a piece of cardstock running your "sandwich" through your machine ONLY ONCE - front to back and STOP.

Remove your cardstock. Now, take that SAME embossed cardstock, and place it into your bolder lined template. Run it through THREE times - front to back, back to front, front to back (i.e. crank it forward, crank it backward, and crank it forward again). Doing it 3 times gives you a deeper emboss.

When you are done, it looks like this... COOLIO!!!

And here's my card. TFL! Wendy

Unity Thursday - 12-10-09

Happy December 10th!! Hope you're doing well this fabulous Thursday morning!!

Today, I'm playing with the KOTM again, Delightful Moments.

Here's my project - I've got a thing for shipping tags. I just love how they look against a plain black and white stamped image....

and my tutorial/tip of the day - see the heart? its old school PINK Heidi Swapp bling, colored with my copics. I had to let it sit a little bit for the ink to dry, but once it dried, it stayed put...

Enjoy your thursday and the remainder of the DT Blogs today! Thanks for stopping by.
