Good morning everyone!! Welcome to Hip Hop for February 17, 2011.

 I'm traveling this week for business, so I've scheduled this post early - its been starting to give hints of warmth where I am, and I really felt beachy today.  These cute Salt Air Cosmo Cricket Just For You Bitty Stamps were calling out to me.  I always love the retro cuteness of the Cosmo cobranded line

This paper and the embellishments are from the My Minds Eye Breaking Free release.

This card is roughly based on HHSC45

Hip Hop February 10, 2011

Good morning everyone!! Welcome to Hip Hop for February 10, 2011.

For those of you who scrapbook, have you ever had a 1/2 finished layout just sitting there because something about it did not inspire you to finish it?  I had one of those - these beautiful papers but I just hated the layout and its been sitting on my desk for maybe 6 months?

Well, I was very excited when the new suzi blu stamps came out and I couldn't wait to order some.  These are larger in scale - and perfect for my coloring needs. I stamped out Spring Flower Chic, and I realized that the patterns on that layout that I couldn't bring myself to finish would be PERFECT for her dress... and so, I happily disassembeled my layout, and re-purposed it into a card.

Hah.  LOVE IT - so much more than its prior format....  Life is way too short for papercrafts that don't inspire you.

Get well card

Back when I was on the LM design team, there was a wonderful lady who would make everyone laugh.  Though the store has been closed over a year now, we all just got word that she is very ill.  They were very nice to post an address to send cards.

I had just ordered these MFT stamps - I thought she was perfect to send some love...

Hip Hop February 3, 2011

Good morning everyone!! Its our first hip hop of February and its CHINESE NEW YEAR, the biggest holiday on the chinese calendar!!  (If we were in some of the chinese places, we'd now have two weeks off...)

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!  It's the year of the metal rabbit.  The rabbit is a fairly gentle creature, and we're all supposed to have a more gentle year this year.  I certainly hope so!!!

Anyhow!  Today, I'm playing with the new February Kit of the Month The Best Is Yet to Be

I was inspired by a design magazine I was looking at where the walls were white, and all the color was all in the textiles...  it was fun "coloring" with my stickles.
