my first quilt

At lifetimemoments, a group of ladies recently, inspired by lovely Kate, the DT leader, started to make rag quilts. Many had never sewed before, or hadn't sewed for a long time. I was so inspired and seduced by the promise of the non-preciseness and forgiving nature of a rag quilt. I went to J's and bought some quilting flannel and made my first quilt. This was so much fun and it is so soft. My dream has always been to have a house full of things that have meaning and love built in. Part of that is filling it with nice things that are made with love....

I'm going to venture into quilting cottons for the next one, to make a summer blankie... TFL!! Wendy
