Last Friday, we were all gripped by images of the large earthquake in Japan, and the ensuing Tsunami. In the days since, the news is filled with stories of a potential nuclear event. The devastation, the death, the fear, the toddlers being checked for radiation break my heart. And so, as I sat down this weekend to create something for hip hop, I really wanted to capture my hopes and prayers for the Japanese people as they move through this.
I am taking the she-art class with Christy Tomlinson and created a background using a napkin that my DD used to wipe up her paint mistakes. From there, I added a large variety of unity stamps from numerous kits, plus some Unity background stamps (perfect for this mixed media). Topped it off with this sweet angel from Suzi Blu Chickadee.

The details in this projects are so captivating! My prayers are with the country of Japan as well, it's all so sad.
Breathtaking Wendy. My heart is filled with sadness over the situation in Japan also. It's the same exact feeling I had during Katrina and the Haiti earthquake.
This one is STUNNING, Wendy! Love it! :)
